Healthcare Reform and the Affordable Care Act - Your non-partisan Educator.

Healthcare Reform!!  Remember that?  President Obama was elected on that platform.  Three years ago the law was passed, but only partially enacted.  The needle hits the skin In January of 2014.  That is when it will be fully implemented and the world will change.

I am starting a blog to educate people who have health insurance, so that should be everyone after January!  My goal is to keep everyone educated on the law, what is in the law, what it means to you, how it will affect you, what you need to do to be compliant.  There is a lot to know.  The little that I am able to pass on will probably be more than most people understand.

Consider this your syllabus, you are going to healthcare reform school.  Here is what I will cover in the first month, so if this is of interest to you, I hope you follow it.

1. General overview of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.
2. Basic education on the government exchanges where insurance will be purchased
3. Basic of the financial assistance the federal government will be providing.
